Kate Skakel, a New Orleans based artist and fabricator, explores sculptural approaches to paper through cuts and physical monotypes in this solo exhibition.

Skakel graduated in May 2016 from the University of Vermont with a degree in Studio Art, and spent the following fall at Yestermorrow Design and Build School studying fine furniture making and woodworking. She currently builds furniture professionally. In her visual art, Skakel works both three dimensionally, utilizing metal and wood, as well as two dimensionally, making prints and photographs.
