Catherine Nelson explores the intersection of her research into improvisation, drawing, fabrication and her own connection to the Louisiana landscape in an immersive installation at Book Club Gallery this June titled “A Tussle with the Genius Loci”. The exhibition will also host a performance by Known Mass dance company titled “Secret Beach”, scored by Ann Glaviano and co-choreographed by Ann Glaviano, Rebecca Allen and Dewuan Frances in contact with sculptures and drawings by Nelson in the Art Egg atrium at sunset.
